The Annex Group®, a leading developer of workforce, student, and affordable housing, has earned the number 15 position on Affordable Housing Finance’s Top 50 Developers List. This list of the nation’s top affordable housing developers is generated using the number of affordable housing project starts and completions from 2021.
The Annex Group is listed 27 positions higher than it was in 2021 when it earned the 42nd position on the list of 50 developers. With construction on 909 affordable housing units started in 2021, the company is pleased to be among the top housing developers in the country for the second year in a row.

The AHF Top 50 Developer listing comes after a year of growth for The Annex Group, which has an existing portfolio valued at more than $500 million. The company has developed more than $1 billion worth of projects, most of which have been ground-up construction. In 2021, The Annex Group added properties in Montana, Washington, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan and North Carolina, and opened a satellite office in Denver, Colorado as part of its strategy to work in areas that have the largest need for multifamily housing developments.
