Kyle Bach is a multifamily housing leader with nearly two decades of experience. He is the CEO and founder of The Annex Group, LLC, which was launched in 2006 as Mecca Companies, Inc. The Annex Group® develops workforce, affordable and student housing communities across the country. Bach is passionate about projects that renew both his and the company’s sense of purpose and passion for using housing as a catalyst for growth. In his role, Bach directs the company’s strategy and growth, manages capital, and effectively leads other executives across the company. Under his leadership, The Annex Group has grown to oversee more than $1.1 billion in multifamily housing projects including ground-up construction and redevelopment, with an existing community portfolio valued at more than $600 million. Tom Tomaszewski is President of The Annex Group®, a multifamily development firm that has created over 7,000 homes across 18 states, many of which are financed using the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (Housing Credit). With a vast understanding of the built environment, Tomaszewski’s work is focused on the construction of complex and difficult-to-develop housing, including affordable, workforce, and student multifamily housing. In addition to his role as president, Tomaszewski leads the organization’s legislative and regulatory initiatives and regularly advocates for the Housing Credit on Capitol Hill. He further advances advocacy efforts and thought leadership through his participation in several trade associations and contributions as a frequent speaker at industry events, including the International Builder Show, AHF Live, Housing Credit Connect and other National Council of State Finance Agencies (NCSHA) conferences. Tomaszewski has served as Affordable Housing Group Chairman and on the Multifamily Board of Trustees for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and serves on the Board of Directors for the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition (AHTCC). Throughout this time, Hurley led multiple debt and equity financings on 4% and 9% affordable housing transactions and established a reputation for successfully aligning financial metrics to support business growth and strategy.
