Event Proceeds to Benefit the Jaxson William Augustus Swank Scholarship Foundation

INDIANAPOLIS – Kyle Bach, CEO of Indianapolis-based student housing development firm Annex Student Living, will serve as a panelist for Real Estate People’s Student Housing Summit on August 12, 2015 at Barnes & Thornburg law offices, downtown Indianapolis. Annex is the title sponsor for the event which is expected to draw approximately 200 attendees actively involved in the student housing, multi-family and commercial real estate industries.

Annex has chosen the Jaxson William Augustus Swank Scholarship Foundation to receive proceeds raised by the Summit, a benefit of being the title sponsor. The foundation, established due to the loss of a small child, has adopted the philosophy of “a child lost, a gift given” and currently benefits nearly 10 underprivileged children by supporting them monetarily and emotionally from pre-school all the way through college. Bach and his fellow panelists will discuss the latest trends in design and construction, public and private partnerships, and the influence of new development requirements in sustainability and innovation on the future of the market, and investment opportunities among other related topics.

“I am honored to participate in this panel along with several of my esteemed industry peers,” said Bach. “This is an incredible opportunity to both educate and learn, while also giving back to the Jaxson Swank Foundation, a cause very close to the hearts of Annex employees, myself included.”

Bach was chosen as a panelist based upon his expertise and strong standing in the Indianapolis real estate community. Under Bach’s direction, Annex Student Living has developed 10 properties since he founded the company in 2009, with the purpose to create student living communities throughout the Midwest at regional campuses, community colleges, and Division II and III universities. In Spring of 2015, Annex announced its proposal to build a six-story, 535-bed apartment development in downtown Indianapolis close to the campus of IUPUI.

Annex Student Living is a student housing developer with a portfolio of apartment community assets projected to exceed $150 million by 2016. Annex was named a 2015 Indiana Company to watch by the ISBDC and is one of Indiana’s fastest growing private companies according to the Indianapolis Business Journal.
