Indianapolis-based student housing developer Annex Student Living has broken ground on a 120,000 square foot, 324-bed student housing community in Warrensburg, Missouri adjacent to the campus of the University of Central Missouri. The project, called Annex 56, will be located at 200 Carpenter Street and ready for student occupancy in August of 2017.
“We are very excited to be part of the Warrensburg and UCM communities,” says Annex Student Living CEO Kyle Bach. “We look forward to providing an upscale, yet affordable conveniently located housing option for students within short walking distance to campus.”
Annex 56 will offer 87 units of two-bed, two-bath and four-bed, four-bath apartments priced from just under $500 per bed per month including most utilities. Each unit will be fully furnished and feature private bedrooms with private bathrooms. Students also will have individual leases, so each resident will be responsible for only their share of the rent.
“I’ve been happy to assist Annex in putting together this development project,” said Jeff Franklin, president of J.W. Franklin Co. in Warrensburg. “Annex 56 is a fantastic addition to the economic growth of Warrensburg and will serve as a wonderful asset to the multi-family housing options in this market.”
Annex is pre-leasing now. There are no age or credit hour criteria for Annex 56, but students and their guarantors do need to undergo an application approval process. Annex may roommate match for those students who don’t have roommates in mind.
Additionally, several student brand ambassadors will be hired to help promote the pet-friendly development and the community’s many amenities including a 24-hour clubhouse with computer lounge and fitness center, and a heated pool with spacious sundeck.
