INDIANAPOLIS (November 7, 2024) – The Annex Group®, a leading impact housing developer that creates affordable, workforce, student, active adult and market-rate housing communities, today announces a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for Union at Middle Creek, an affordable housing community in Lincoln, Nebraska. The community, which provides affordable living for individuals and households earning up to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), offers 192 one, two and three-bedroom units. Construction on the property began in 2022, and the $34.44 million community is now leasing.
Future residents, community members, company partners and the media are invited to join The Annex Group in officially unveiling Union at Middle Creek. Details of the ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening include:

The city of Lincoln and its partners created an Affordable Housing Coordinated Action Plan in late 2020 that provided a thorough understanding of the demographics and housing conditions in the area. It noted, “Since 2010, only nine low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) projects have been placed with 537 units.”
“Lincoln is a growing city with an increasing population and competitive job market,” said David Wesner, Vice President of Development for The Annex Group. “This is an area where affordable housing is needed, and the addition of these units will make a true difference within the community. That’s something we’re very proud of.”
This is The Annex Group’s first community in Nebraska. Property amenities include a clubhouse, fitness center, nature trail, and a balcony or patio for all units.
